Philly has a long and storied history of unions and labor organizations and trends. A carpenter’s strike here in the 1800s inspired the country’s labor force. The city is also the birthplace of the Knights of Labor union. LaborPHL is your source for news and trends about unions, labor, contracts and business in Philly. Currently, it is still in a developing stage. It is maintained, written and edited by Stephen Zook.
